Boat Show in Genoa

From 9 to 17 of October 2004 the 44th International Genova Boat Show has been held. The exhibition took place in 4 pavilions and on the water also, with a total area of 285000 square meters. 1547 exhibitors have presented more than 1900 boats ( 201 of them have been exhibited on water, in order to give a possibility to make a test-drive) of different types and sizes.

One of the most big and impressive yacht on this boat show was the yacht More of Benetti Vision line with LOA 44 meters. There has been one more mega yacht Tradition (30 meters).
Benetti More

This 44-meter (145 foots) beauty can take on board 10 guests (with a crew of 10 people). Equipped by engines 2 x CAT 3508 B-C with power 970 Kw, yacht can reach the maximum speed of 15 knots, and cruising speed is 14 knots (for long distance trips – is recommended the speed - 12 knots).

AZIMUT BENETTI has presented the following models: Azimut 40, Azimut 42, Azimut 50, Azimut 55, Azimut 62, Azimut 68, Azimut 68S, Azimut 75, Azimut 80, Azimut 86S, Azimut 98, Azimut 116; and also BENETTI TRADITION и BENETTI VISION.

One of debutant of this boat show is renovated model of Azimut 75.

You can find some changes and renovations in design and in installed engine of this yacht. Has been created a big trapeziform porthole to improve lighting and visibility from master cabin and VIP cabins. On the main deck there is spacious saloon, dining area, galley and steering wheel. On the low deck there are 4 cabins. On the renovated variant of this yacht they install the engine 2 x 1360hp Common (or 2 х 1300hp MAN) instead of 2 х 1300hp MTU.

Italian shipyard Tecnomar specializes on producing of high speed racing boats, from 1995 they have began to built also the yacht with LOA more than 30 meters, «Open» and «Flybridge». On the boat show in Genova have been exhibited models Nadara 35 Fly, Velvet 35.

Company Carver has presented the model Nuvari 63.

19-meters yacht built by Italian shipbuilders in collaboration with American company «Carver». Hull of yacht is wider than hull of similar yachts. This advantage has been used to enlarge the leisure area. 3 spacious cabins with baths can accommodate 12 guests + crew cabin. Fuel capacity per ton is bigger than similar yachts has. Yacht is equipped by engines MAN (2 x 800hp; 2 х 1050hp) or MTU (2 x 914hp).

Company Fairline has presented models FAIRLINE PHANTOM 46, FAIRLINE PHANTOM 50, FAIRLINE SQUADRON 58, FAIRLINE TARGA 40, FAIRLINE TARGA 43, FAIRLINE TARGA 52, FAIRLINE TARGA 62 and a new one - FAIRLINE TARGA 47.

The new model of classic “Targa family” differs from other sportive models by enlarged cockpit with garage for tender. It has excellent sailing characteristics. On Targa 47 you can put on a Hard Top (optional) with a sliding top of the same revolutionary construction Skylonge, as is used on Targa 62. Yacht has 2 cabins with isolated lavatories and it attracts by spacious and luxurious interior, which is one of the best for this type of yacht.

In addition to luxurious interior, yacht shows excellent sailing racing qualities. Thanks to the special hull and bottom construction one can enjoy sailing, driving with a cruiser speed 35 knots (39 knots – maximum). Engines 2 x 1400hp CAT equip model. The choice of installed engines varies according to the power from twin 800hp CAT to twin 1550hp САТ.

Pershing 50

We might remind, that 11 September Pershing 50 has been declared a winner in the category of 40-50 foot yachts. Celebrations has been held in Cannes. The models Absolute 45 and Atlantis 45 were among the candidates to become a winner.
50-foot yacht (51 foot 11 inches) can take on the board 12 guests. There are 3 cabins (and 1 optional cabin for crew). The model is equipped by engines 2 x 800 hp MAN + ASD 11 and can reach speed of 45 knots.

The yachting company Princess has presented the following models PRINCESS 21 M, PRINCESS 42, PRINCESS 57, PRINCESS V 42, PRINCESS V 58, PRINCESS V 48, PRINCESS V 70.

Set on water in August 2003 the new Princess P21M has changed its predecessor – Princess 20M.
