Description of the routes
Dodekaniss — Greece and Turkish coastEmbarkation: Rodos First Day: RODOS — MARMARIS (26 miles) RODOSIt is one of the biggest islands of Dodekaniss. It’s interspersed by nice coasts, bays, small green valleys, which contrasts with smooth mountain landscapes of Rodos. Its mild climate and charm attract here a lot of tourists. Rodos combines the features of ancient times and modern ones. The combination of the old and new is well-seen visiting churches and castles, small villages that border with fashionable beaches and hotels. Rodos is known as an island of Sun, and sometimes it is even called the «pearl of Mediterranean coast». It embodies 2 worlds: fabulous ancient city, surrounded by Medieval walls, and modern tourist center with intensive night life and hundreds of shops with many interesting hand-made things. Rodos is a place with rich history and has a lot of places of interest to offer for curious visitors. The most visited places are Acropolis in Lindos, valley of butterflies and archeological complexes in Kamiros. The most significant and important place of island is its capital, situated in the northern part. MARMARIS
