Concerning diving, the «Tortola Island» (capital of the BVIs) is estimated as one of the best areas in the west hemisphere. Clear water, multitude of coral reefs, unexpected underwater relief, hide inexhaustible opportunities for amateurs of underwater swimming. For example «Alice in wonderland», a deep place enough in the south of the «Ginger island» notable with an underwater wall with mushrooms alike corals and smoothly reducing deepness from 5 to 30 meters. A multitude of crabs, lobsters and twinkle pearls found their refuge in the caverns and ledges of the «Blond Rock», hidden on the depth of 18 to 5 meters, between the «Dead Chest» and the «Salt Island». To the north east of the «Dead Chest» are situated «Painted Walls», another place which attracts attention. Underwater wall of four not deep long canyons are covered with kaleidoscopic shining corals and sea sponges.
