The travel to the British Virgin Islands

We arrived with friends in the islands in order to have a rest, to drift away and to enjoy the beauty of the Caribbean Sea. In the Tortola Island, we chartered a motor yacht with a crew for cruising across the islands. We choosed the destination and as soon as we gived a task to the crew, we navigated across the islands in the way that we liked.

We had the choice to enter in isolated bays or in modern entertainment complexes, land on a dazzling beaches or swim directly from the board of the yacht. In the evenings, we had the choice to sit at the cockpit of the yacht or spend some time in the comfortable restaurants and bars on the coast.

Day 1.
We ascend on board of our yacht at noon in the bay Sopers Hole on the west extremity of the Tortola Island, the main island of the British Virgin Islands. This place was in the past a real pirates anchorage, well hidden from wind and not welcomed guests. From this place pirates were used to attack commercial boats that were navigating toward the Old World. In our days practicing commerce has become easier, we had the opportunity to visit the shops «Pussers Landing» for instance. After the light lunch served by the crew, we've speaked about the trip to come and finally can we heard the command: «cast the mooring». The first transfer bringed us to the famous from childhood island of treasures «Norman island» with a tavern named in honor of the pirate «Billy Bonce». By the way, the treasures were real — in a letter written in 1750 was indicated that «the amount of values from «Nuestra Segnora» that were buried in «Norman Island» included 450 000 $, crockery, indigo and tobacco».
